My dog just put a hole through my wall
Ahhhh.....the joy of having dogs, two of them! Pit Bulls too! I love them to death, but they are just such rascals and when they play its like a tornado going through my house. Both are about year old - and still puppies full of energy. Now that they are both well over 60lbs, I avoid playing with them in the house. But because of the nasty weather I cant let them play outside - they are gonna get all muddy and honestly, I dont feel like cleaning them before they enter the house.
So, my 3 year old daughter is at grandmas, my 6 year old is sitting nicely at the table and I said....maybe I can play some ball with them. I ordered one of them to stay away while I played with the other. The only reason I did this is because he is just clueless and doesnt know how to play - he gets the ball and just flops at the spot without bringing it back to me. And I did teach him to bring it back.....he just doesnt get it :-(
Everything is going fine and dandy, we are playing and having fun until......Blue slid on the carpet getting the ball, slammed into the wall with the ball in his mouth and put a hole through it! When I sighed at that, poor thing thought he is in trouble....awwwww, I felt so bad. My daughter was asking me if he is hurt and if his head hurts....lol.....I explained to her how Pit Bulls are very resistant to pain and he is not really hurt, how Pit Bulls are such a great dogs that in some other country called England they are called the Nanny Dogs. She was melting that she has a strong and gentle dog at the same time :-)
Soooo.....wanna see the hole?
And here he is, the Tornado Monster Blue, tired after playing ball:
and....this is Vuk, the one that has no clue how to play ball:

Yikes! Sorry about your wall!
Your lovely dogs don't look like pitbulls to me. They look like staffies, much like the one I used to have. You can see his pic on my blog. The Stafforsdshire Bull Terrier is actually the one we Brits call The Nanny Dog. Pitbulls don't have that good a reputation over here.
thats OK, hubby will patch it up :-)
jakill, thats the one that put the hole through the wall. He does look like a Staff, being short, wide chest and huge head. I didnt put a pic up of the other one. Now that one is a real Pit Bull. Its so sad that they dont have a good rep. They are the best family dogs in the right hands.
I'll post a pic of Vuk the Pit Bull, eventhough I think he has to be mixed with something too
Oh yor dogs are so lovely ;) Sorry about your wall!
Lol, Blue looks very proud of himself. And I love the look on Vuk's face - "Huh?" Hehehe.
They look like a couple of sweethearts, give them a kiss for me! :-)
So cute -- and they're looking at the camera like, yeah, so what's up -- he did it, no he did it :), they are beautiful pups!
ha ha! Thank you all! :-)
I aint worried about the wall. Its a small damage and nothing that hubby cant fix in a min...even though he is not the handyman type...lol
Yeap, they know about the camera. I have spoiled them with picture taking as I did my own kids...lol...now all 4 pose for it - the kids AND the dogs :-)
OMG they are sooo cute. what a handful with them and kids and hubby....I used to have a Rott and loved him, he would eat I mean eat tissue paper rolls, if he heard you change the roll he would be there on the spot, if I threw it away he would dig it out......never made him sick though and he never chewed any thing else. gotta love em.
Thank you Catina....lol....no way, he would dig it out? LMAO! I just love them powerful breeds, the best and funniest dogs ever
What a hole. Good thing you have a patch-er. :) Cute doggies.
Thanks Tashai :-)
Happy, smiley, goofy bulls in a china shop. They look pretty proud of their handiwork.
Vuk looks just like a Panda's Gallant Finale bred female that I had back in the late 80's. What great dogs!!!! I love sharing photos and stories with you on flickr.
And yes, we too have a ooops on the wall because of a large playing dog. . .but it was the kid's butt that caused it as the dog took out her legs during a fast paced game of "catch the tail". They love chasing the ball down the stairs, jumping on the mini trampoline at the base (to save their joints).
Thank You feefifoto :-) They are my "little" clowns :-)
LOL PitBullLady lol.....yours was a real ooopsie! lol....you just put a huge smile on my face....love sharing stories about what these big dogs do, they are just so funny :-)
